So much has happened since Moonfruit had to shut down. At the time, we were given the option of migrating our website, but much was going on, and I dreaded jumping to the place that had said it would take us. Moonfruit was an amazing webhost, but all of their websites were built on Flash, and the Internet put a kill on that because of its vulnerabilities.

I never really wanted to come to WordPress, either, but after checking out several options, HostGator had what we needed. Granted, their advertised price does not include important options that we added à la carte, but it will still be cheaper when our three-year introductory package wears off. Since I would really not like to move again, that was very important!

WordPress (as I already knew because I had done it several years ago) is not an easy-peasy website builder. It works great if you know how to code, and it is extremely portable. At the same time, I am struggling to figure out how to get my pages connected to the menu on the first page, and my icons have been jumping all over the place and getting larger and smaller.

Needless to say, this website may be rough for a few weeks as I fit polishing it into my writing schedule. Even then, I have managed to port everything here, and I think its new look is much improved over my previous solid green.

By mid-August, I want to have at least three of the full-status books I’ve been working on published; two more serials started; and the three other serials re-vamped. I believe my goal was to finish 14 books this year, and I got behind because I lost three chapters of The Inconvenient Sister to my ADHD. (I accidentally deleted them, and data recovery could not get them.) Plus, I am revamping five of the serials I had already written.
